Finishing touches applied to step-free rail station

A project we have been involved in from the very start is now nearing completion!

As part of Transport for Londons step-free access scheme, specifically at Harrow on the Hill, Universal Coatings UK has prepared and coated the original components at our facility in Misterton.

As the main focus of the project is to enable easy access to transport for all we have done a lot of anti-slip coatings to passenger walkways and surfaces.

During the previous weeks this has all been assembled on-site, the team then attends to the final details and touch-ups to create a premium finish across all fixing points and mounting locations. Whilst adhering to a full Network rail specification that is designed to protect and stand the test of time.

As the station has to be fully functional, the team has been on-site with special access during the night to complete these works giving a unique view of the station. Click through the slideshow below to have a look for yourself.
