Universal Coatings latest project, landed in the workshop over two weeks ago. The large steel structure is a new build lift shaft and entrance canopy cover, these will be installed for Network Rail later this year.
On receiving the two lift shafts and canopies the first step was to clean the steel to bare metal in our purposely built Blasting Bay. The large steel lift shaft's were then moved to our painting and prep bay's and coated with a three coat paint system, and the canopies coated with a four coat paint system. Once completed all items were carefully loaded onto an articulated lorry and transported back to the customer.
All the above works comply with Network Rail Set Standards and Procedures in line with N4 Specification.
